Based Points & Blindboxes

Certain trades earn you Diamonds, which is a mechanism for us to reward down the road.

Based Points in Season 1 is known as XP, known as Gold in Season 2 and Diamonds in Season 3. The mechanism to earn it is slightly different.

You are advised to execute trading strategies and trade with the intention to make profits instead of incentivizing only trading volume. We reserve the right to remove any benefits for unfair trading practices.

You should be able to see your XP in the "leaderboard" page in Web terminal, or "rewards" tab in mobile app.

Q: How do I calculate the XP earned?

• The exact formula is undisclosed but in general, the more you trade, the more XP you earn.

• Currently, we are in Season 3.2

Q: I am trading using API. Will I get penalized? A: As long as you are using Based properly, you should be fine. XP is earned if you pay builder fees. Some details:

• No secret key is required.

• You can find the Client ID in Hyperliquid's docs.

• All required docs are in our API Section or in Hyperliquid docs.

Q: How much volume do I need to earn a blind box? A: There is no guarantee and it is a probability game, much like a gachapon game. In general, the more you trade, the higher your chance of getting a box.

Blind Boxes have ended together with Season 2 and are unavailable in Season 3.
