## General

<summary>What is the difference between Based and Hyperliquid?</summary>

Based is a fully integrated trading terminal with omnichannel products that supports everything you can do on Hyperliquid's native UI, and more. Advanced tools and features are constantly being built to supercharge your trading.

You also receive Based benefits on top of whatever you earn on Hyperliquid. Referrers enjoy up to 76% of affiliate fees. We're also building a full ecosystem including MiniApps, Based Cloud, NFTs, cards, and more.

TLDR: Hyperliquid is the core engine. Based is the supercharged experience built on top of it.

<summary>Which wallets are not supported?</summary>

Most wallets are supported. Phantom wallet does not support HyperEVM, so you cannot sign transactions with it. We recommend Rabby or MetaMask.

If you deposited into a Phantom wallet by mistake, follow [this guide](https://help.phantom.com/hc/en-us/articles/23832021185555-How-to-recover-tokens-sent-to-unsupported-networks) to recover your funds.

<summary>How do I export my wallet's private keys (social login)?</summary>

1. Log in to Based with your social login method
2. Click your profile in the top right corner
3. Click "Export email private key" under your account owner
4. Copy the key and import it into your preferred wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet)

Keep your private key safe. Alternatively, use the backup site at export.basedapp.io.

<summary>What can I do with an Agent Wallet?</summary>

Agent wallets **can**: trade perps (with perp balance), trade spot (with spot balance), swap spot tokens.

Agent wallets **cannot**: set trailing stop loss, transfer funds, withdraw funds, deposit via Arbitrum, or use the EVM browser. These functions should be performed on Hyperliquid's site.

<summary>I've been hacked or scammed. What should I do?</summary>

Act quickly. Blockchain transactions are irreversible.

1. Move your assets to a new secure wallet immediately
2. Stop using the compromised address permanently
3. Revoke access permissions at [revoke.cash](https://revoke.cash)
4. [Contact us](/docs/others/contact-us.md) with details so we can transfer your XP and referrals to your new wallet
5. Note that we cannot reverse blockchain transactions of lost assets

## Deposits & Withdrawals

<summary>My deposit is not showing up. What should I do?</summary>

Wait 5-10 minutes. If it still hasn't arrived:

**App deposits** (Deposit USDC / Deposit Crypto For Spot): Check that you deposited a supported token on a supported network. If you deposited an unsupported token (e.g., USDT instead of USDC on Arbitrum), export your private keys into MetaMask or Rabby to retrieve the funds. For unsupported chain deposits (e.g., ETH on Arbitrum), contact [Hyper Unit support](https://t.me/hyperunit).

**Web deposits**: [Contact us](/docs/others/contact-us.md) with your wallet address, destination chain, transaction hash, and a description of the issue.

<summary>Is there a minimum deposit?</summary>

Yes. If you deposited below the minimum via the app (Deposit USDC / Deposit Crypto For Spot), contact [Hyper Unit support](https://t.me/hyperunit) as the funds are held on their end. For web deposits, [contact us](/docs/others/contact-us.md).

<summary>Why can't I withdraw my funds?</summary>

Withdrawals require 1 USDC for gas. You may also have open orders preventing withdrawal. If issues persist, [contact us](/docs/others/contact-us.md) with your wallet address and screenshots.

<details>

<summary>I unstaked my funds but can't withdraw them.</summary>

Staked funds have a 7-day unstaking period. Wait for it to complete. See [Hyperliquid staking docs](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/hypercore/staking) for details.

## Referrals

<summary>I generated the wrong referral code. Can I change it?</summary>

For security reasons, referral codes cannot be changed. Create a new wallet and generate a new code. You can still access the old wallet for any existing benefits and perks.\

<summary>When can I claim my referral payout?</summary>

Payouts are processed twice a month (mid and end of month), though timing may fluctuate by 1-2 days. Delays will be announced in our [Discord](https://discord.gg/basedapp).

There is a minimum of $10 required to claim a payout.

## Based Points & Diamonds

<summary>How do Based Points / Diamonds work?</summary>

Based Points were known as XP in Season 1, Gold in Season 2, and Diamonds in Season 3. The earning mechanism changes slightly each season.

In general, trades that incur builder fees will earn you Diamonds. See [Fees](/docs/based/fees.md) for fee details and the [Points page](/docs/based/based-points.md) for what qualifies.

You can view your XP on the Leaderboard page (web) or the Rewards tab (mobile).

<summary>How is XP calculated?</summary>

The exact formula is undisclosed, but in general, the more you trade, the more XP you earn. Season 3 has concluded as of 4 May 2026.

<details>

<summary>When will I receive my Season 3 tokens?</summary>

Users who signed the Terms and Conditions during the Genesis Event will receive their tokens on **11 May 2026**. No further action is required.

Users who have not yet signed must accept the Terms and Conditions by **4 June 2026**. Tokens for this group will be released on **7 June 2026**.

<summary>Will I get penalized for trading via API?</summary>

As long as you are using Based properly, you will be fine. XP is earned if you pay builder fees. No secret key is required. See the [API section](/docs/integrations/api-traders.md) or Hyperliquid docs for details.

<details>

<summary>What about Blind Boxes?</summary>

Blind Boxes ended with Season 2 and are not available in Season 3.

## Cards

<summary>My region is not available for card signup.</summary>

The Based Visa card is accepted at 150M+ merchants across 160+ countries, anywhere Visa is accepted.\

Check the [restricted countries list](/docs/card/card-basics.md) to see if your country is available. If your country is not listed, it may be an error. [Contact us](/docs/others/contact-us.md).

Singapore citizens are not able to use cards from Nov 2025 onwards: [announcement](https://x.com/BasedOneX/status/1962349831927771328).

<summary>Do I need to manually top up my card with fiat to use it?</summary>

No. Based auto-converts your crypto into local fiat at the point of sale. You just tap and pay.

<details>

<summary>Are there fees for top up?<br>There are no fees for supported stablecoins (USDT, USDC, XSGD). Deposit and spend the full amount.</summary>

<details>

<summary>Do I need to swap $BASED or $HYPE to a stablecoin before spending?</summary>

No. Both tokens are accepted directly. Transfer them into your card account and the card handles the conversion automatically at the point of sale.

<details>

<summary>Which of my coins gets spent first?</summary>

Balances are spent in a fixed order: stablecoins (USDT, USDC, XSGD) first, then SOL, then HYPE, then BASED. Your $BASED is always preserved until last.

<details>

<summary>Does spending my $BASED affect my staking tier?</summary>

No. Card-account $BASED is a spending balance and is separate from staked $BASED. Spending from the card does not touch your staked position or affect your tier qualification.

<details>

<summary>Can the card be used for Apple Pay or Google Pay?<br>Currently Apple Pay is not supported and some Android models are not supported with Google Pay. You can attempt to connect with the relevant systems to see if there might be updates.</summary>

<summary>Does spending with the card earn points?</summary>

Yes. Card spending earns Based Points, which is a separate mechanism from trading XP. Points are credited 14 days after the card spend, as payment providers take time to settle transactions.

<summary>Can I increase my card's daily limit?</summary>

<details>

<summary>What if there are fraudulent transactions with my card / I would like to freeze my card.</summary>

Please freeze your card and contact us. You can freeze and unfreeze your card instantly from the Based app. While frozen, no transactions will be authorized.

<summary>Can I convert my card portfolio into my trading wallet?</summary>

This is not possible. Card and trading wallets are separate.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I have issues with card deposits or withdrawals.</summary>

## Prediction Markets

<summary>I won a prediction but can't redeem it.</summary>

Redemption is available after Polymarket resolves the market, which can take a day or more.

<summary>Can I get my winnings before the market resolves?</summary>

You can exit early by selling your position for 99 cents before the market resolves.
