# Cashback Exclusions

There are certain exclusions that will not earn cashback, due to bank and system limitations.

### Exclusion on Merchant Categories

Cashback is **not** earned on transactions in the following merchant category codes (MCCs). These categories are typically cash-like, high-risk, or regulated, and are excluded by our financial service provider:

| Stored value loading      | 6529 (remote stored-value load – financial institution), 6530 (remote stored-value load – merchant), 6540 (stored-value card load – non-financial institution)                                                          |

The merchant category is set by the merchant and their acquiring bank, not by Based. A purchase that falls under any excluded MCC will not earn cashback even if it would otherwise qualify.

### Exclusion on Reversal and Authorized & Completion Transactions

Transactions that are partialy/fully reversed, as well as transactions that undergo a hold-and-complete system will not have the entire transaction cashback.
